Hurstville Plaza came alive with renewed energy on Sunday, 11 January 2026, as the Georges River Association (GRA) hosted the first Hurstville Night Market of the year.

The market opened with a tribute to the victims of the Bondi Beach attack on December 14 last year.

St George's Hurstville Anglican Church Christmas Night Market has raised $4,500 for the Hurstville Public School Sensory Play Space.

This year the church collaborated with the Georges River Association (GRA) which has run a series of successful night markets at Hurstville throughout the year.

This week's meeting of Georges River Council endorsed the continuation of the Hurstville night markets to support the local night-time economy and cultural vibrancy.
