This Christmas, St George’s Hurstville Anglican Church warmly invites you, your family, and your friends to join us for our Christmas Night Market! We are proudly to participate in the event.
The event will be held on Saturday 13 December 2025, from 4:30pm to 8:30pm.
This year, we are introducing our very first Night Market, giving local residents a relaxed weekend-evening opportunity to drop in and enjoy a meaningful Christmas experience together.
Our Christmas Market has always been an important way for us to connect with our community.
This year’s Night Market will feature a wide variety of stalls, including books, handmade crafts, toys, household items, boot sale of second-hand goods, and delicious food stalls — providing affordable Christmas gift options and a warm space for people to meet, mingle, and build connections. So far, we’ve got 17 car boots and 11 food stalls on board!
In addition, there are face painting, hand crafting, children's activities, and hand drumming, songs, hymn dances etc.
The food stalls offer grilled lamb skewers, laksa chicken skewers, chive boxes, rolled pancakes, rice balls, spring rolls, curry puffs, baked goods, glutinous rice balls, cakes and cookies, red bean ice, mango pomelo sago, purple rice porridge, tropical drinks, and sago coconut milk drink.
The George River Association booth also features a "Pay As You Wish" option: customers can exchange any amount of money for items such as balloons, small balls, and children's toys etc..
All funds raised by The George River Association will be donated to Hurstville Public School’s Sensory Park Project, supporting a better learning and play environment for local children.
More than just a market, the Christmas Night Market is a special moment for the community to come together and share love and hope.
Christmas is a season filled with warmth and meaning, and through this event, we hope to share this joy with our neighborhood and extend care to those in need.
We warmly welcome residents of Hurstville and surrounding areas to join us for the 2025 Christmas Night Market.
Come and enjoy the festive atmosphere, celebrate together, and be part of bringing love and support to our community.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Hurstville's Christmas Community Markets are back, bringing another heartwarming day of festive cheer, community spirit, and local support. Once again hosted by St George's Anglican Church in partnership with Anglicare, this year’s markets will take place on Saturday, 14 December, transforming the church grounds into a vibrant, family-friendly celebration.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., shoppers and families can explore a variety of unique stalls offering books, clothing, toys, fresh produce, and more. The market provides an affordable way to find thoughtful Christmas gifts and essentials while supporting local initiatives.
Following last year’s success, the mobile Community Pantry is set to return, offering essentials to locals for just $12. This small contribution not only spreads holiday cheer to families in need but also showcases the community’s commitment to looking out for one another during the festive season.
Funds raised at this year’s market will support two important projects: the Sensory Park project at Hurstville Public School and other community initiatives within Georges River. Every purchase helps these causes and strengthens our vibrant community bonds.
St George’s has prepared for all weather, offering air-conditioned indoor seating and complimentary chilled water so visitors can relax and enjoy the festive vibe in comfort. The church’s dedicated volunteers will once again bring their holiday spirit, with a range of items and delicious food stalls for everyone to enjoy.
Rev. Dr Brian Tung, senior minister at St George’s Anglican Church, is thrilled to see the community come together for another year. “It’s heartening to witness the generosity and support of the Hurstville community,” he shared. “This event goes beyond just raising funds; it’s about connecting with each other and strengthening our community. We’re incredibly grateful to Councillor Ben Wang and Georges River Council for their ongoing support and sponsorship, which make events like these possible.”
